• ‍Pack by Box. Click the box icon on a shipment and enter a box number. Anything you pack while a box number is filled gets attributed to that box. New label variables {{ boxQty }}, {{ boxNumber }}, and {{ totalBoxes }} split labels per box automatically — e.g. {{ boxQty }} in Box {{ boxNumber }} of {{ totalBoxes }} produces 3 in Box 1 of 2 and 7 in Box 2 of 2.‍
• Improved packing error messaging. Hit "Pack All" on a 100-line shipment and you used to get a generic header. Now you get the first 5 items that failed, so you know what to fix.‍
• Item link on Packlist now links to the item, not the sales order. This bugged us too.‍
• Company name toggle on labels. Per-template toggle to hide your own company name on the labels you print — keep it on some, off on others.
• ‍Shipping Backlog Report. Two new optional fields nested under Item Name: Default Location and (Item) Class. Excel users — hit the + above Item Name to expand.

A long-overdue UI cleanup for operators that turned into a much bigger update once we started gathering customer feedback. The new design surfaces communication between the shop floor and management that used to be hidden — next routing step on each job, full routing per item, tag indications when there are job notes or instructions to read, item tags below item descriptions, visibility into inventory transactions made on the job, and search across the WO job list.

Active beta with a handful of shops; broader rollout coming.

Trigger a manual inventory resync for any item directly from Fulcrum. It's a diagnostic tool for the rare cases where Shopify inventory falls out of sync.

Shopify retired our previous auth method at the beginning of 2026; existing integrations kept working, but new connections were blocked until we implemented OAuth. Connecting now uses a "Connect" button → Shopify Install App → permissions prompt → redirect back. Disconnect is a button + save.

• Job ran 12 units against a 10-unit Job? You can now record IPT responses for those extra 2 pieces on the overproducing operation.
• Pre/post operation checkpoints now highlight red when responses are out of tolerance.
• Bubble Number now exports on IPT "Inspection Results" downloads.

If we can't detect a grid on a drawing, you no longer get blocked — the grid (and per-annotation grid locations) are now optional.

You can now edit bubble annotations on in-progress / completed / cancelled operations whether or not responses exist. Editing target values or tolerances can retroactively flag responses as out-of-tolerance. We still block edits that would categorically invalidate existing responses (e.g. changing a numerical checkpoint to a checkbox).

Internal-only notes on annotations carry through to the BOM/Routing IPT step, the Job Tracker IPT tab, the Quality tab on the job page, and the Inspection Plan download.

New Basic dimension type in the bubbler — basic callouts are always relative to a specific GD&T feature, have no tolerance, and are assumed in-tolerance when recorded in the job tracker.

Extent data (THRU / THRU ALL / THRU WALL / TYP) can now be captured on quality annotations and follows from the bubble through to the FAIR report. Loom video

Price break discounts now appear on Quote and Sales Order previews — matching how line items already display them. Available under the "Price Break Discount Display" feature flag.

Jobs now sort by soonest due date by default, with no-due-date jobs at the bottom. No more scrolling past next year's jobs to find today's jobs. Death to clicks.

What we used to call "Can Run Unattended" is now "Lights Out" everywhere it shows up (Equipment, Operation, Work Center, Work Order, BOM routing side panel). The underlying property is unchanged, but the new label is much clearer for shops setting it for the first time.

Three changes to make recommendations match how shops actually buy:

• Reservation-aware recommendations. The selector now subtracts inventory that's already committed to jobs with existing POs. 10 sheets on hand, 7 already committed → only 3 count as available.
• Weight-based supplementation. When a job consumes more material than originally estimated, the standard calculation can underestimate demand. The selector now detects these cases and supplements with a weight-based estimate; the tooltip flags when it does.
• Clearer recommendation tooltips. Full breakdown — required quantity, on-hand inventory, quantity reserved for existing jobs, and the final recommended purchase quantity.
