Sales Order Line-Item Reordering

Drag-and-drop reordering is back for sales order line items on orders under 200 lines. For very large orders — over 200 lines — you can now reorder using number inputs, since drag-and-drop doesn't play nicely with the way long lists scroll. We also fixed line items spilling past the edge of the container, which had been causing a sideways scroll and misaligned labels.

Auto-mark Quotes as Sent

Tired of clicking "Mark as Sent" after every quote you email? Now you don't have to. When you email a quote through Fulcrum and it sends successfully, the quote moves itself from Draft or Approved to Sent automatically — one less manual step.

Routing Auditor

Your planned routing times are only as good as the assumptions behind them — and over time, reality drifts. The BOM editor now shows a Job Avg next to each step's setup, labor, and machine time, pulled from your recent job history and compared against the plan. When the two drift apart, a colored chip flags the step: green when you're within 10% of plan, yellow when you're 10–25% off, and red when you're more than 25% off. You'll see how many jobs went into each average, and you can click in for a breakdown showing each job, the operator, and any jobs left out as outliers. Like what you see? Hit Apply Avg to push the average straight into the planned time, or open Routing Settings to review every step in one place and Apply All Averages in a single click. The audit shows up anywhere the BOM is editable — items, draft quotes, sales orders, and active jobs — and it automatically filters out bad data like forgotten clock-ins, so the numbers you see are the numbers you can trust.

Purchase Orders Refactor

The days of waiting on the old Purchase Orders page are coming to an end. A rebuilt Purchase Orders page is starting to roll out as a beta. We focused on moving fast while keeping disruption to a minimum, so the page mirrors the experience you already know as closely as possible. You'll notice a few small visual differences, but the workflow and behavior should feel very familiar — no retraining required. It's also a foundational step toward a more stable, faster-moving application, which means quicker improvements down the road. The rollout starts with shops that don't currently use integrations; we'll keep wrapping up the integrations work and monitoring feedback, and expect to reach the broader customer base within the month.

Meet Archie

New to Archie? There's now a guided way in. First-time users are greeted with a Meet Archie panel that explains what Archie is, what it's great at, the data it can pull, and where the current gaps are — all tailored to your permissions and role (Sales, Jobs, Purchasing, and so on). You'll find Tips & Tricks on getting the most out of it, an On the Roadmap section for what's coming, and sample prompts curated to your role to help you get started: the first is always an advice-style question, followed by data-pulling examples, and they fade away once you've gotten the hang of things. You can revisit the panel anytime from the Explore Archie dropdown or the Meet Archie button in the chat. The What's New / Changelog also got a refresh with search, filtering, cleaner styling, and clearer callouts when a new version of Archie ships.

Purchase Order PDF Clean Up

A round of paperwork cleanup on Purchase Order documents and invoices: PO docs now correctly show "DUE" instead of "RECEIVE" since they're vendor-facing, and paid invoices now display a clear paid status rather than a "Total Due" amount that no longer applies.

Nesting Improvements

  • Nesting and DXF flexibility. Nestimation and "Download Nest Package" now work whether you upload the DXF to the specific operation or directly on the item page.
  • Auto-associate materials to nestable operations. Drop a material on a routing with a nestable operation → automatically associated. Add a nestable operation to a BOM that already has the material → same thing. Fewer mistakes, fewer clicks.

Purchase Orders & Receiving Improvements

  • Bulk actions on Previous Receipts. New checkboxes let you change the receipt date, print labels, or revert across multiple lines at once. Saves a ton of clicking — and importantly, keeps the lines on a single receipt so it still matches the vendor's bill.
  • PO date tooltips clarified. Expected Receive Date (when material should arrive — feeds the scheduler) and Promise Date (vendor's committed delivery date — drives the quality score for late deliveries). Quality Score tooltip on the Vendors page also rewritten for clarity. (Angular PO pages only.)
  • Auto-created Outside Processing POs now pull vendor custom fields. Manual OP POs already did this; the auto-create path was missing.

Items & Materials Improvements

  • Raw Material Catalog expansion. ~23,000 new materials across Bar, Tube, and Structural. Use the "Recently Added" filter on the materials grid to see what's new. Pipe is up next.
  • Item grid sorts by recently created / edited at the top by default — no more hunting alphabetically for the part you just made.
  • Reactive Save button on the Item page. Save is disabled until you've actually changed something, and turns blue when there are changes to save.
  • True Revision Support for Solid Works imports. When you import a SolidWorks BOM and an item already exists in Fulcrum, you can now create it as a proper new revision of that item instead of a brand-new orphan. Works for both the top-level assembly and child BOM components. (Three-dot menu on the parent → Add a Revision.)
  • Previous orders: primary and document currency toggle. Useful when you're based in one currency but sold the item in another — toggle between primary and document currency on the item page's Sales tab.

Job Tracking Improvements

  • Expand / collapse all windows. Operators often just want to see the drawing. New eyeball button collapses all panels — bottom-left on desktop, top-right on iPad / mobile.
  • Larger thumbnail sizes on operation cards — no more pixelated images.
  • Smarter default image hierarchy. Starring an image on the JT now drives the operation page background. Switching to a quality tab swaps in the associated PDF. WO attachments load over job-level attachments. Star indicator now shows when the job is also scheduled.
  • "Picked" column on Work Orders updates after auto-pick. Previously the picked quantities on the work order didn't refresh when auto-pick ran during job and operation completion. Now they update right away.
  • Add button in the picklist works again. Clicking Add right after using the search bar wasn't registering — fixed.

Packing & Shipping Improvements

  • Pack by Box. Click the box icon on a shipment and enter a box number. Anything you pack while a box number is filled gets attributed to that box. New label variables {{ boxQty }}, {{ boxNumber }}, and {{ totalBoxes }} split labels per box automatically — e.g. {{ boxQty }} in Box {{ boxNumber }} of {{ totalBoxes }} produces 3 in Box 1 of 2 and 7 in Box 2 of 2.
  • Improved packing error messaging. Hit "Pack All" on a 100-line shipment and you used to get a generic header. Now you get the first 5 items that failed, so you know what to fix.
  • Item link on Packlist now links to the item, not the sales order. This bugged us too.
  • Company name toggle on labels. Per-template toggle to hide your own company name on the labels you print — keep it on some, off on others.
  • Shipping Backlog Report. Two new optional fields nested under Item Name: Default Location and (Item) Class. Excel users — hit the + above Item Name to expand.

Work Order Job Tracking Redesign

A long-overdue UI cleanup for operators that turned into a much bigger update once we started gathering customer feedback. The new design surfaces communication between the shop floor and management that used to be hidden — next routing step on each job, full routing per item, tag indications when there are job notes or instructions to read, item tags below item descriptions, visibility into inventory transactions made on the job, and search across the WO job list.

Active beta with a handful of shops; broader rollout coming.
