How Archie Works

Archie runs fully on Microsoft Azure Government Cloud. It's ITAR-secure from day one and, because it's built into Fulcrum, it draws on the live data your shop already generates. This means that every job, routing, cost, vendor record, and customer interaction lives in one place.

Archie is being built to function in three primary ways:

Live Now: Archie Chat

Ask it anything about how your shop is running. Which jobs are at risk this week, what a customer's true cost history looks like, and which vendors keep missing dates. Archie reads live Fulcrum data and answers directly. You can also prompt it to take action like change a due date, leave a note on a job, or update a record.

In Beta: Archie Build

Describe the dashboard or tool your shop has always needed. Archie builds a working app based directly off of your shop’s live data in minutes. Custom apps publish to a dedicated space for your team. If you want, you can share what you've built with the Fulcrum network, and (with their permission) use what other shops have built, too.

Coming Soon: Archie Agents

Deploy agents to handle recurring work on their own. This might include reorder check-ins, status alerts, follow-up drafts, or whatever tasks might save your shop the most time. Agents run autonomously, but they only act within rules you set and with authorization you give. You decide which tasks they handle and which ones stay in human hands.

Why Archie vs. Other AI Tools

The question we get: why can't a legacy ERP add on an AI tool and do the same thing? The answer is data quality.

Fulcrum shops run paperless. Everything lives in one live system. Shops on Fulcrum average 3.4x more operational data than shops on other platforms. When Archie answers a question or builds an app, it's working from a complete picture rather than using only certain records stitched together from spreadsheets and paper travelers.

Fulcrum and AI Security

Another major differentiator that sets Archie apart from other AI options is security. For customers who are ITAR-registered, all of Archie's processing, storage, and data handling happens inside Fulcrum's Microsoft Azure Government Cloud environment, not in a general-purpose cloud environment.

Azure Government Cloud is a separate, walled-off version of Microsoft's cloud that's restricted to US persons and meets the data-handling requirements ITAR imposes on controlled technical data. A standard commercial cloud environment (even a secure one) doesn't meet that bar on its own. What this means is: no part of an ITAR customer's Archie usage touches Fulcrum's regular commercial infrastructure or any non-Gov-Cloud service. This is what we mean when we call Archie ITAR-secure.

We are compliant by construction, because the infrastructure itself is isolated. We are seriously committed to serving a network of manufacturers with access to ITAR-secure AI. While other industries profit off the advances of generative AI, manufacturers shouldn’t get left behind.
