Public API Updates

These updates were aimed at making certain data accessible in bulk, as opposed to for a single record ID per call. The following fields have been added to these existing data pulls:

Receipts List

Include Receipt Lines - Data about the items on the receipt needed to be queried with a separate pull. This let's you get multiple results of both receipt info and the line items on that receipt.

Items

  • Include Vendor Data (List Only) - This allows you to get vendor info, including price and lead time, when getting a list of items.
  • Custom Fields
  • Minimum Stock On Hand
  • CategoryId
  • Usage Data (List Only)  - This is the same as the "usage" tab on an item. Basically, where does this item show up in a BOM?

Stock Take Error Handling

Sometimes you're updating inventory in the app via stock take and it stops midway because some update fails — It can be a real headache, not knowing exactly what the issue is, what got messed up because of it, and having to restart the stock take. This enhancement is designed to improve that experience!

If there's an issue while you're updating an item's stock, a modal will now appear informing you what happened, letting you know what went wrong and why. Plus, it'll fill you in on any other changes that didn't go through because of the error, ensuring you have full visibility into the process. In the modal, you have the option to continue with your stock take or cancel to fix things. We hope this makes managing your inventory a breeze and a lot less frustrating!

Introducing: Alerts 🚨

Whether it's a maintenance issue or an operator in need of assistance, cutting down the time between needing help and getting it keeps everything on track. Alerts let the right people know there’s a problem immediately.

Here’s how it works:

  • Operator triggers an alert from the Chat window in the Job Tracker.
  • Anyone with ”Receive Alerts From Job Tracking” permission receives this alert as a Real Time Notification. The alert message is also appended to the contents of the chat window.
  • Open alerts can be viewed from the Real Time Operations view in Live > Real Time
  • Operations where you can filter live operations by an Active Alerts KPI.
  • Alerts can be resolved in the Chat window in the Job Tracker. Once an alert is resolved, an Alert Cleared message is appended to the Chat window.

Configure Alerts:
Alert types are configurable in  Business Setup > System Data > Job Tracking Setup. This feature automatically starts with two preset Alerts: a Maintenance Alert and a Help Request Alert. You can customize Alerts or add/delete Alert presets as you see fit.

Receiving Alerts:
Anyone with the ”Receive Alerts From Job Tracking” permission will receive alerts.

Log in to Job Tracking without a PIN

You can now disable the Job Tracking PIN login. Instead of using the PIN login, users can log in with their email address and password as usual. This is helpful for customers leveraging multi-factor authentication or those who simply don't require the PIN login process in Job Tracking.

To make this change, navigate to System Data > Job Tracking Setup > Disable PIN login for Job Tracking.

Updates to Purchasing Planning

We’ve made some tweaks to Purchasing Planning to make it easier to understand:

  • The “End Date” filter is now called “Order by Date.” This filter shows the items that need to be ordered by that day so can be received in time for the job. This accounts for vendor lead time.
  • The On Hand Supply graph will now chart the decrements based off the scheduled start time instead of the “order by date”. The receiving changes will stay based on the PO expected receive date.
  • We've added tooltips to explain how order dates are calculated and what the Expected On Hand Supply graph is based on.

  2. Add/update quotes and line items
  3. Upload the file and address any errors/warnings

New Job Tracking Dashboard ✨

Introducing the new Job Tracking dashboard, redesigned to increase clarity and ease of use. The priority order of operations is still powered by Fulcrum's Autoschedule, but the operation cards have been streamlined to bring focus directly to what’s most important on the top of the queue.

New information to the operation card includes the ability to start/stop timers for jobs, the previous operation and its status, and an 'Open NCR' tag.

This update also features a new navigation tab bar for clear separation of operations by status, and a feature where recently viewed operations and searches appear when you click on the search bar. The enhanced OmniSearch now filters operations by department, operation, and equipment and stays with the user until they reset it. Users can set a default department, streamlining the process for operators who typically don't switch departments during their day.

New chat functionality will be included in this release as well, so operators can see notes for all jobs rather than just the ones they had previously worked on. This feature is responsive to all screen sizes, including mobile. These improvements are designed to make Job Tracking more intuitive and efficient for everyone.

Job Tracker interface redesign

New year new look! ✨ We understand the need for machinists and operators to always know which job to work on, which is why we have updated the Job Tracker dashboard. The operation priority order in Job Tracker is still fed by Fulcrum's Scheduler, but we have made it easier to hone in on the biggest priority and get to work faster. Coming January 16th.

First & Last Name Columns on Time Management Grid Report

Now there are separate columns for First and Last Names, alongside the existing Full Name column. Since this report is most frequently used for payroll, these additional columns add flexibility as you sort and filter the report in the way that is most consistent with how you submit payroll.
