See When Someone Else Is in the Same Quote or Sales Order

Quotes and Sales Orders autosave, so two people working in the same record can overwrite each other's changes without noticing. Starting today, you can turn on an alert that tells you when someone else has the record open or is changing it.

How it works: The alert has three states:

• Open: "Jon also has this quote open." Goes away 60 seconds after the other person leaves the page.
• Editing: "Jon is editing this quote right now. Changes you both make may overwrite each other." Turns into a warning and stays up for 30 seconds after each change they save.
• Recently edited: "Jon changed this quote 2 minutes ago. Your view may be out of date." Stays up for 5 minutes after another person's change.

Turning it on: The setting is off by default. To turn it on, go to System Data → Sales → Collaboration.
