Inventory Export Import

In addition to Stock Take, there’s a new inventory export and import. This lives in Business Setup > Import / Export under ‘Inventory’. The export downloads all items, with their inventory (or zero), and allows you to change the quantity by using one of three event types:

• Adjustment - to set qty directly (3 sets qty to 3)
• Pick - to increment down (3 decreases qty by 3)
• Receive - to increment up (3 increases qty by 3)

This is different than a stock take for a couple reasons:

1. A stock take cannot pick or receive.
2. A stock take requires all lot and location combos on the import. This allows partial inventory updates.

To note:

• The import will not pick below zero
• The quantity changes do maintain existing inventory unit values
• Quantity is updated by item/lot/location combo
